Delicious. Throw this is as a ringer among a bunch of top-flight Maconnais wines (e.g., Vire-Clesse, Pouilly-Fuisse) and it would fit right in. Nose has beautifully pure scents of crisp yellow orchard fruit and meadow flowers, as well as a clean stony note. In the mouth, it’s got deep fruit with almost a Semillon-like lanolin note, as well as deep minerality. Very full body with a bit of alcohol peeking through in the finish (it’s 13.5%, which doesn’t seem too high on paper, but it’s there).
