Sep 23rd, 2021This was fairly subdued for a California wine. You could taste the Old World influence. A interesting blend. A little more Syrah than the usual GSM, but I liked it. Paired well with peppered steak.

Sep 3rd, 2018Tablas was founded by Robert Haas, generally considered the pioneer of bringing Rhone varieties to Paso Robles, and the Perrin family of Château de Beaucastel. This is their entry level Rhone blend and its a very good one. Stewed fruits with scent of violet and touch of earthy elements. A bit of meaty note too. The palate is round yet lively with additional cherry and sweet spice note. Very smooth tannins.
