Marsanne

Thanksgiving Paso Robles trip second day first stop. Vintage 2021. Smells and tastes like a young Chardonnay with long malo and gently and subtly oaked. Gold in color. Pomaceous, yellow peach, yellow delicious apples. Creme fraiche, yogurt, cream cheese, medium minus acidity, medium plus finish.

Really nailed it with this one

Wet stone and notes of apple juice. Seemed thin and basic.

There's a subtle richness to this wine. Drunk and enjoyed with chicken and courgette.

Took a little while to wake up in the decanter. A little subdued on its own, with Moroccan spiced halibut it revealed much more depth and breadth. A little softer than my normal preference, but that roundness really let it support the dinner. Yum.

Very nice. Not quite French marsanne in style. Much more ripe and less minerality. Really glad they are making it.

Very nice minerality and lovely viscosity on this balanced Marsanne, long finish, very good CA white Rhone.

Not nearly as fruity as I expected. Just flat acidity. No complex notes even after decanting. Disappointed.

Clean, light, could benefit from more acidity.
