Drinking great now, but just cracked a window on its potential. This is California rhone showing at its best, still plenty of sunshine but with earth and garrigue just starting to show in this wine that will develop more in time.

These are still young, but on night 2 it has really opened up. Savory, bloody, spicy, and delicious. Everything you want jn your rhone blend and will only improve as it moves into secondary development. 15+ years ahead.

Tablas Creek vertical. This and the 2007 Panoplie were the winners of the night. Both drinking very well right now. Regular Beaucastel more traditional CdP style, very well done. Panoplie more rustic flavor, but still damn good.

An evening of Paso wines and this one starts us. True to southern Rhone, 71% Roussane, 21% Grenache Blanc and 8% Picpoul Blanc. Velvety texture almost like silk. Citrus rind, melon and burnt toast round the palate. Ends with a spice blood orange finish.
