At first smell I thought this wine was slightly over the hill, as there is a hint of oxydation, but in fact it evolves favourably. Never judge too quickly! After 10 minutes the nose reveals dried thyme, leather, dried fruits and licorice, not unlike a good Lebanese wine or an older Chateauneuf. Nice spiciness in the mouth also, with sweet dried prunes and licorice and good balancing acidity and a certain complexity, making this a very satisfying glass of wine, even if it's rather expensive at about 23 euro.2010 vintage, blend of 46% grenache, 39% syrah, 10% mourvèdre and 5% counoise. Alc. 14,5 % by vol.

Sep 12th, 2016Dark ruby color with dark red fruits, smoked meat, anise and baking spice aromas. On the palate, it's medium-bodied, with medium plus acidity, and smooth textured with cherry, fig, spice flavors and an appealing minerality. Long finish. Great QPR @$27. Blend of 46% Grenache, 39% Syrah, 10% Mourvedre, 5% Counoise 14.5% alcohol
