Blown away. Who knew!
Jan 30th, 2018A different bottle than the last and while good, it was not up to the same standard. That said, this 1974 grocery store wine is better than many wines in current production. Ripe, spicy fruit. Drinking nicely

1 person found it helpfulMay 25th, 2015This wine needs at least 2 hours of air to begin to show its beauty. Complex, spicy red fruit bouquet is a joy to the palate. The finish is longer than that of most of the great Bordeaux I've tasted over the last year. Great showing.

Jun 5th, 2016Still fleshy, fruity and alive. Also medicinal and herbal. I'm not entirely sure why this isn't a bigger thing.

Nov 1st, 2015Nose is an old port. Funky yet enticing. Color is a mellow tawny. Lovely stewed and ripe red fruits that explode in the palate. TA is still there. Even slight amount of tannins to create a great balance. Mix of chocolate and dried flowers finish the mix.

Dec 22nd, 2013What a blast for 30 minutes!!! Great nose of autumn leaves, tea, leather and dark berries....good acidity too. Why I continue to roll the dice on aged wine from secondary sources.
