Rich and jammy. Blueberry compote, vanilla, hints of spice. Bold flavors wrapped in a silky texture with a very nice finish. ๐ค๐ผ

It's the opening day of baseball season, which is absolutely reason to celebrate with delicious wine! Go Rangers!
So this is my first experience with 750 wines. People rave about this place, the people, and the experience they provide. I'll make sure and visit my next time out. Love that they have their own label and utilize top winemakers and top vineyards. A KVenge zin? Yes please! My wife and I are big zin people (more so my wife), and once this was popped and poured, before the first sip, my wife smiled after she gave it a good whiff. On the nose, this is mixed blackberry and blueberry pie with vanilla bean ice cream, and a rush of blueberry preserves. Great acidity on the palate. Full throttle, jammy, slight peppery finish. This is jammy and peppery zin at its finest...a nice balance that I feel many struggle with. Our style of zin ๐. @Carl Fischer , thanks for the introduction! Consider both my wife and I impressed. Nailed it!

TOBACCO! It's like chewing on a sweet cigar. A bit of jam but not in your face. Medium body , velvety texture. Open and enjoy. Then repeat! Thank you @750wines Napa for turning us on to this little treasure.

Just getting caught up on posting this past week's wines. This is a full throttled zin - rich, jammy explosion of dark fruit, faintest black pepper in the background. Like all of Venge's wines...smooth, easy drinking, delicious.

Some light bramble on the nose. Dark as night. Flavor is juicy and rich. A hint of sweet. Little spice box. Full bodied with plenty of structure. A fantastic representative of coastal Zin. Lovely stuff.

Kirk Venge knows a thing or two about making Zinfandels. He also makes another of my favorites with Biale Vineyards, known as Black Chicken. For David and Monica Stephens, he partnered up to make this deep dark Zinfandel with a chewy fruit and a jammy texture (but not jammy sweetness).
