Ignis Upper Hemel-En-Aarde Valley Pinot Noir

Actually a great wine. Last time I tasted this I gave this a 8.9 now it is 9. 1. Plenty of tannins cherry. Bright and pretty. Quite intense.

Iodine, earth, dirt, tannic. A big wine will easily hold up to steak or game. Orange peel, touch dark ripe cherries, spices (touch cinnamon), black tea leaves. Full of character and terroir driven. From South Africa. Decomposed Granite and volcanic rock. 13.5%.

Deep crimson, mix of red and black fruit. Seems to have come together over the last 6 months and is well integrated. Faint touch of Cote du Nuits here.

Had this at South African wine tasting at commodore Perry. So great!

Quite Burgundy like. Cranberries and dark cherries chalk orange zest earthy. Black tea leaves and a hint of lime. Good but not super spectacular might need more time.
