Fresh flowers, acacia honey, pear and stone fruit. Faded over time but delicious and drank more like a Montrachet.

Aged absolutely perfect. Stunning vibrance and layered complexity, all while exhibiting a crisp acidity and tart fruits. Feel of Montrechet, or St Aubin. Absolutely in love, and with a 9 year old Napa Chardonnay. Awesome.

2013 in magnum, the balance the acid and the fruit and in harmony. This thing could go for another decade easy. Almost as tight and precise as a grand cru chablis

Classic SH, these wines really take on a personality of their own, especially with age. This was all about the non-fruit and earthy notes for me, combined with the blocked malo style makes these zip well into their life. I did find this to be showing a little more oxidation than LBT, giving a slight imprint of fatigue on the wine. Dried apple, bruised pear, kiss of honey, apple blossoms, wet clay, mushrooms.

Lovely color. A hint of spearmint. Honeyed and broad in the middle. Slightly syrupy with no noticeable acid but great balance.

From a restaurant list. Medium gold, heavy in the glass. The nose grabs your attention right away. Apricot, some peach, some stones, and a bit of honey. Rich in the mouth and with air the acidity powers up over a couple of hours. Some bruised apple and warm apricot notes developed. Overall, nice showing.

Take a step back in time in mike’s cellar. First time up to Stony Hill and we’re neighbors for goodness sake! Fell in love

Powerful even over time and tremendously, energetically aromatic.
