Estate Grown Ballard Canyon Sangiovese

Ripe red raspberry, light tannins.

Classic underpinnings, with Californication!

Nice wine. Hints of cherry and salty bacon on the nose. Very smooth going down and a wonderful lingering after taste. Stone fruits on the finish. I don’t often pick a Sangiovese (I tend towards Rhône’s) but this makes me want to put it in the rotation.

This is a wine to drink with Italian food or charcuterie- which is what I just did and I loved it. Young but ready to pour!

So good. Smooth, no acidity, just full enough to make you take it serious
