Had in a 1.5 liter bottle. Silky red and black fruits with fine, yet persistent tannin. Hints of olives and stones framed with plush fruit. May not live twenty years, but I'm definitely curious to see it in 5-10

Apr 29th, 2021Nose has jammy ripe raspberry & blackberry, spicy oak/cedar and warm plum.
Palate has ripe blackberry, plum, black cherry and dry soil.
Opened 3 days earlier, it was a tannic and jammy beast, not my style. Honestly the youngest bottle we've opened, so I wasn't terribly surprised by the showing. This wine has really settled with very extended air, quite pleased tonight.
2018 blend is 70% Syrah, 15% Grenache & 15% Sangiovese. We've been enjoying this wine randomly since about the 2009 vintage, embracing the culture behind the label. Look it up if you're not familiar.

Jan 30th, 2023Maybe a chilling made the difference or maybe Pat’s spaghetti, but enjoyed the wine more than with the lamb on Monday ($22)
