Grapey and fresh - Blackberries. Seems highly extracted and dark for a Pinot. In the glass really not that much going on? Wait hang in there more forest berries - But in the end too ripe and high in alcohol 14% for my taste. Reminds me almost of some Northern California Pinots. Relative big on fruit. Bought this in Passau Germany. - Ok I tried this wine weeks later again. The first sample was pulled via Coravin. Now much better. Much more Burgundian still kind of ripe and hot. Drink it relatively cold!!!

Mar 26th, 2016This wine (2012) definitely required some air before tasting as it should. Once that happened it is a beautiful earthy and slightly smoky wine. Has a touch of sweetness and goes down wonderfully without food.
