A very good table wine. Berry & vanilla notes went well with baby back ribs.

Very smooth and delightful. Good dinner wine or just right for relaxing after a long day at work.

Sipping Fine Wine

Sterling Vineyards born in 1964 by Peter Newton, once a paper broker in England, purchased 70 acres of land in Calistoga and became a Napa Valley winemaker. Dark Red with berry fruit aromas, toasty and spice notes. On the palate, blackberry and plum flavors with smoky spice and black pepper notes. Drying tannins on medium finish, savory with a jolt of spice on the ending.

Excellent for a moderately priced cab. Love the dark fruit (cherry and blackberry) and pepper. Vanilla and spice.
