Mid-palate is nice and complex. Barrel toast shines through, along with overripe Cherries and brown sugar. Moderate acidity finished what I think is a complete package.

Holding up extremely well. Nice heavy nose of jam compote and cedar. On the palette, the wine presents a great structure, with balanced acidity and good weight. Tannins are beginning to soften, but still hold the main components together. Notes of black fruits and maple syrup float on the palette. Finishes long and sweet. In its 13th year and still performing so well. No rush to consume these if you have em. Sterling reserve still represents a great value in Napa.
