Whiff of new oak. Overall a subdued nose. Very young. On the palate Latent Dense and undeveloped of M+ intensity. Early Cote Roties I had from the mid 1980s always had a peppery side to them. David LeMire MW who hosted this Shiraz tasting said that these days the French think that pepper in a Syrah is more for drink now styles. 93 points now but time will take it to 96+.
