Mon Village Côte-Rôtie Syrah

Calm and reserved for a 9yo Cote Rotie. Integrated well. Lacks some of the classic aromas of prototypical examples. Subtle meat and sweet pickle/caper.

Pure of heart this. Meatiness on nose and some delicate flowers from the viognier. What a treat. 2021. This is a starter cote rotie? Boy.

Not bad at all. Very nice entry level cote rotie.dried fruit, blackberry, leather , medium tannins that mellowed out with decanting. Short finish.

Vineyard brands tasting. $79

Great balance of acidity, fruitiness and floral. All present but subtle and well rounded. Had it with a Vietnamese food and a Michelin recommended restaurant in Ho Chi Minh and it paired very well.

Writing these notes from a week’s ago memory is a blur, but a warm, cuddly, and tasty blur. I remember a smooth mouthfeel and strawberries.

Smooth,no lingering

2018 vintage. Ripe and semi-fleshy. Plenty of smoky nose. Fairly smooth without speed bumps. Wanted a bit more bite but it was in a groove sesh and just managed to slip into the vibe/tripski.
