Steele Wines
Writer's Block Lake County Syrah
Fourth red from Steele Wines. Bright ruby red. Lots of plums and dark cherries on the attack of the nose. Opened up with some light herbs and spices. Seems to have a earthy/rustic edge with some light greenery on the palate. Moderate tannins (6/10) with a medium bodied dry finish. Moderate plus finish in length. Drink till 2021.

Jun 2nd, 2016A little weak, but I'm sure it just needs a bit of time open. Tight, but I can see the spices trying to push themselves out. $13 / 88pts

Dec 11th, 2013A little heavy for my pallet as it has some spice but a good wine to pair with dinner. Maybe I should let it breath.
