%100 Cabernet. All estate fruit. Really opened up after an hour. Young but already gorgeous. Would love to revisit in a few years.

Tried another bottle. Deep red with purple highlights and aromas of dark black fruits, herbs and smoky oak, very complex. Aged for 20 months in French oak (50% new) and hand selected from the best barrels in the cellar. On the palate blackberry and blueberry flavors with cedar, leather and tobacco. Full-body, well integrated tannins on a long lingering finish. An exceptional wine that will age and last for a long time.

Starting off the wine was deep red with purple highlights and aromas of dark Berry fruits, some herbs and a touch of smoke, very complex. Reminds me of a cherry liquor chocolate sachertorte!! Really delicious. Young but already beautifully developed.

Awesome cab. Dark, mysterious, young but not too harsh on the pallet.

Thinking I should be drinking my 2012s, I opened this up. After giving it 2 hours alone, I realized I’ve opened it too soon. Even next day, it remains tight. It is deep, dark opaque red, tons of blackberry and dark cherry, licorice, leather, but it is still “packed too tight.” If you are holding these, hold them another 5 years. You will be well rewarded, IMO.

100% Cabernet Sauvignon from the little winery that put Napa Cabs on the map 40 years ago and created its own district. A great blackberry color and note. I like the chocolate on the finish mixed with the black pepper. Another great selection for The Capital Grille Generous Pour event.
