Stags Leap Manor, as it was called in the 1920s, was known as one of the prominent country retreats in the Napa Valley at a time when resort and spa business was big. Pale lemon stone fruit and citrus aromas and toasty yeasty notes. On the palate melon, pineapple and pear, fresh & crisp with notes of oak, a bit creamy. Long finish with wet stone and mineral character, well balanced, stays crisp on ending. Nice!

Thought this was gonna be an oak monster and was pleasantly surprised how restrained and balanced it was. Ripe pear and very slight tropics. Fresh and lifted on the palate with just a kiss of (neutral?) oak. Great value.

A good Chardonnay. Starts with subtle grapefruit flavors and finishes smoothly.

Not as bold as I like, but a good, well rounded Chardonnay.

One of the best Chardonnay wines! 2019 vintage smooth and creamy with notes of vanilla. Great with tortellini and roasted tomatoes and salad! Delish!
