Last night I had this wine from the Stag's Leap Wine Cellars. The nose was of dark fruit, plum, black raspberry, wet soil and there was a bit heavy on the alcohol smell. The palate was full of cherries, dark plum with medium tannins. There alcohol translated into the palate and never blew off. Just a bit to light for my liking.

Good overall well balance taste.....a little tannic on the start but with some oxygen - she has calmed down nicely. Beautiful wine. Don't know the story on it but it will pair well with red meat, chicken, cheese, even chocolate almonds. Go ahead and drink - things could be worse.

Blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (85%) and Merlot (15%). Deep ruby color. Dark fruit aromas and flavors (blackberry and plum) with hints of violets and pepper spice. Touch of dark chocolate on the rich finish. Medium bodied and round. Fruit forward and plush.
