Certainly has seen barrel time. It's noticeable on both nose and palate, and is what stuck out the most. Citrus really drives the fruit on this one, with fleshy lemon initially that finishes more towards tangerine. Acid moderate, finish quite lengthy and balanced.

Acidity was good, tastes of ripe pear was nice, but I was looking for a bit more...

Such a grand label but such a midling wine in the bottle. Light and weak, there are Sauv Blancs mich cheaper that equal the Aveta.

Wonderful Sauvignon Blanc. Well balanced, subtle, hints of grass and minerals. Right up there with my NZ favorites, but this wine is fascinatingly more complex.

I wanted to dismiss it ! It's just a good Sauvignon Blanc. Front middle & back of the palate are balanced nicely. It will get better with a little more time.

Sauv Blanc is exactly what this evening needs. A little harsh- tart citrus, green herbs- again, I'm near the oregano, so it might mess with my nose.
