Star bright pale yellow with just a hint of beige (from the barrel). Heavenly nose of grapefruit rind and fines herbes. Medium light palate gives the same adding flinty mineral, green apple, and balsa wood all buttressed by moderate, tingly acidity from entry to medium finish. Solidly Marlborough with French finesse, this is what NZ SB aspires to be. Well balanced for sipping or with a surprisingly wide range of meals. Seafood and greens are at the top of the list. Could hold for a year or so, but drink now for optimal experience.

Barrel aged, pale lemon with aromas of ripe stone and tropical fruits with citrus and floral notes, wonderful phenolics. On the palate fresh fruit flavors of melon, apricot and ripe apple with lemon citrus wrapped in lively acidity, medium+ length ending with creamy citrus mineral texture. Very Nice! Will benefit for short-term aging.
This Barrel aged Sauvignon Blanc is very multi-dimensional, exhibiting layers of fruit. Flavors of spicy pear and mango emerge from the creamy palate.

Very pale straw color. Surprisingly “leggy” for this type of wine. Inviting nose of citrus rind and white flowers. Medium light palate echoes the nose with firm acidity, vanilla-ish quince, and a hint of mineral. A nicely different take on Kiwi SB with barrel fermentation adding weight and complexity along with a bit of texture. A much better food wine than your typical New Zealand offering. Crab cakes, salad, and cilantro-lime jasmine rice were wonderfully complemented. Aging should yield pleasant results. Drink now through 2029.

Pale lemon with aromas of citrus and tropical fruits. Unique Sauvignon Blanc with nutty toasty character wrapped in oak and complex fruit, mango, lemon and melon. Slight earthiness with a smooth and creamy well balanced finish ending with a gentle citrus and yeasty character. ‘18 s a bit better than ‘17. Tasting Sample.
