When Seven Springs vineyard was split as a result of divorce, one portion was renamed Anden, this wine. Color is still youthful red-purple, with evident oak both aromatically and on the palate (this was a best barrels selection in 2002, I think Mark’s first such Special Selection designation, 73 cases made), black fruits are still quite primary and rich, I’d guess this won’t reach its apogee until 2035 or even later, this is a GREAT Oregon Pinot Noir as long as one has the patience to age it!!

Dark fruited, oak and tannin structure still, nicely rich with complex flavors and still loads of grip, unlike the 1998 SS, this still needs more time, but BIG potential, the 1998 SS drinks beautifully tonight, this still needs more time!!
