73% Cabernet Sauvignon, 18% Merlot, 7% Cabernet Franc, 2% Malbec. Cranberry aroma with hints of pipe tobacco. First impression is cranberry juice follow by a floral vanilla retronasal sensation. The body is both powdery and tannic so it reminds me of a dark chocolate powder. Slow long legs give it a balanced heat on the finish. Was a great wine for a thanksgiving dinner.

Smells like blueberry cobbler. Also has a red pepper quality to it that is fun. The palette is Jammy with great fruit that includes dark cherry characteristics.

2004, St. Francis Anthem, Sonoma Valley Winemaker's Selection Meritage. Wow! This has aged really well. Oak is integrated well and the fruit is still front and center. Well balanced and tasty. Still fresh and alive; not showing the secondary flavors that I expected.

A wonderful dry, full body red, with a berry taste that lingers at the back of the tongue. We're drinking a 2008 that has matured and perfect time for drinking now.
