Pleasant yet mild nose of dark chocolate, soil, and blackberry. Ripe, black cherry, red berry, and a hint of earth and pepper. Medium tannins and finish.

I've enjoyed everything from Spier so far. I may have enjoyed this cab as much if not more than the Private Collection. It's less opulent; less new oak an the fruit is more restrained. cassis fruit with tobacco and leather on those nose. Finish is long with soft caramelized tannins.
