Dark, glass-clinging red purple with garnet highlights. BlackBerry, black cranberry, woody leather on the nose and medium full palate. Licorice black bread back palate and on the medium long finish. Medium plus tannins. Medium acidity. S Africa's signature red has come a long way from the days of dirt. The 21 Gables is an excellent example of a higher end food-friendly South African red. Enjoy with beef, game, and hearty fare now through 2028. — 9 months ago

A very nice change of pace from my usual CS. Would certainly buy again — 2 years ago
Star bright straw gold. Abundant nose of honeysuckle and lime. Tingly medium plus acidity leads the light palate which confirms the nose and adds a stern backbone of chalky mineral. A bit racy for sipping on its own, but a good accomplishment to medium spring and summer dishes. Much more approachable on the second day. Drink now. — 6 months ago
Lovely expression of south African chenin blanc. A little rambunctious on its own, delicious with salad and chicken. Great value. — 10 months ago
Had 7/21/23 at amore ristorante a nice crisp wine with hints of oak. — a year ago

Persistent notes of birch wood, blueberry and cherry compote, herbaceous and a bit earthy. Baked strawberries, vanilla some spices, and juicy mouthfeel, nicely dry on end with structured tanning and not so aggressive finish. — 16 days ago
