Beautiful nose - blueberry pie, leather, and a touch of spice and figs. Lush round body with dark fruit and a bit of black licorice. Not too heavy, very nice.

Dec 29th, 2014A full bodied South African wine...great for meat dishes. Lots of dark blackberries and dark plums... very rich purple burgundy type color. Great sip...could stand up to long term cellaring. Complexities abound...maybe some licorice too

Nov 15th, 2014Visual: inky like a Malbec. Meniscus indicates time left to peak. Legs indicate good presence of alcohol and sugars left to turn. Nose: high alcohol, spicy with berry/cherry and a hint of dry forest floor, almost like mushroom. Palate: spicy, tangy, and deliberate in execution. Expect a deep, rounded spice like that of an Argentinian Malbec and the robustness of a Cabernet Sauvignon. I expected, with the first sip, that I'd like to pair it with steak. I'd actually rather just enjoy the glass, now that I'm impressed :). A long, satisfactory, yet ruddy finish. I'll share it with friends.
