Visual: inky like a Malbec. Meniscus indicates time left to peak. Legs indicate good presence of alcohol and sugars left to turn. Nose: high alcohol, spicy with berry/cherry and a hint of dry forest floor, almost like mushroom. Palate: spicy, tangy, and deliberate in execution. Expect a deep, rounded spice like that of an Argentinian Malbec and the robustness of a Cabernet Sauvignon. I expected, with the first sip, that I'd like to pair it with steak. I'd actually rather just enjoy the glass, now that I'm impressed :). A long, satisfactory, yet ruddy finish. I'll share it with friends. — 10 years ago
