2011 vintage with 46% shiraz and the rest made up of mourvedre, grenache, carignan, tannat and durif. Smoky, meaty nose on this one with some slight under ripe plum on the nose. Maybe more, my sinuses are acting up. You drink this and it tastes almost like nothing you smelled. Tart boysenberry, blueberry and plum notes lead the way, backed by good acidity and a light mouthfeel. The finish isn't very long, which is a detriment to me, but for a $20 bottle I'm pleased with what I taste. I love South Africa and it's wines, and this is another bottle in proof of that.

A dark, full bodied beast of a blend - with a name that will leave your friends in awe of your worldly sophistication. Heavy on the spice, but smoother than a straight-up Shiraz - dead cow required.

Herb and black currant on the nose. Taste brings in plums with some spiciness. Medium tannins, interesting blend.
