Cherries, red plums, lychee and wet granite on the nose. It’s very young still, too young, but clearly a high quality Grenache. Medium bodied, notes of pencil lead and the plum, lychee and cherries feature prominently on the palette along with a faint hint of ruby red grapefruit. Mmmm...

Sweet, round, and light bodied with interesting tannins that fill out the mouth feel beautifully. Ruby red, lichee, and ripe strawberry notes predominate. This is quite young still, but I predict it will keep inspiring a bit of wonder for years to come. Yum!

Everyone likes a story and what hit home about this wine for me had nothing to do with the wine but had to do with him being unapologetic for who he is. His personality matches his wines, big, bold, voluptuous and completely intoxicating (in a good way). The quote that hooked me in? "Ballet lessons aren't cheap, why should my wines be?" As a parent in this business (who also pays for very expensive ballet lessons) I feel you. The wine has pronounced intensity on both the nose and palate of ripe primary fruits (red and black cherries, rhubarb, blackberries, ripe red currants) with an awesome cinnamon stick and black peppercorn notes.big and bold with great acidity, rich ripe tannins and a long finish. Total crowd pleaser, just like him!

2011 - tart fruit, baking spice, just a hint of sweet vanilla. Also hint of black licorice throwing me off.

Gift from the property, a surprise of light-bodied restrained freshness with true Grenache fruit.

Maybe it was too soon to open a 2018 but drink what is opened for you ;) less berry and more oak-y favor than a typical Grenache

Deep, rich Grenache. Not my favorite varietal but a good wine.
