Darkness Syrah

Solid Syrah. A touch too much oak - obscures the fruit - but it does bring a nice sweetness and structure.

Drinking in 2026 - dark fruit, soft vanilla. Papery tannins.

Inky goodness. I see why they call it Darkness. It is purple in color. Deep, dark palette. Great value under $40. Bitter chocolate, plum, and black raisins. An excellent buy.

Not a huge nose. A little bit of herbiness, a tiny hint of oak. A hint of mintiness. Dark fruit. Still very drinkable in 2025!

Nose: bright blackberries, coffee , black licorice, smoke, bramble. Palate: tart but ripe blackberries, dark plums, white pepper, mocha, bacon drippings, star anise.

Smooth tannins, medium + body, medium + acid.

Really nice Syrah if you age. Lots of fruit on it still. Very good.

Still a nice Syrah. Time to drink. The chocolate characteristic that I am used to is gone.
