Our #ChardonnayDay (26 May) Eve was spent with this new release sample from Soumah in VIC’s Yarra Valley (thank you!!).
The 2021 d’Soumah Chardonnay spends 8 months in barrel before release and retails for $28.
I loved this one - it’s definitely one of those, ‘I could drink this wine all night’ kind of wines. Silky smooth and oh so delectable 😋
It’s a pretty pale yellow gold colour in the glass. Crisp apples, honeydew melon, orchard fruits, lemon curd and some nuttiness come through on the bouquet. While in the month it’s smooth and juicy plus so darn easy to drink. Highly recommend!

Baked apple aromas up front with some slight vanilla, leading to flavours of green apple and pear (no malolactic here!). Lingering citrus at the end, works great with steamed clams.
