Top Notes For
Alsace, France
This Riesling comes across as very dry but at the same time there is definitely some residual sugar. This contradiction is backed up by the relatively low level of alcohol. It is very taut and linear with flavours of lemon, green apple and nettle. Light bodied with medium intensity, it leaves more depth and complexity if not opulence to be desired. The wine is well made and balanced but my score is held back by its austere character.
