Velvety tannins and dark fruits. Coats the tongue with leathery goodness, invoking black cherries and tobacco. Nose starts fairly closed, but progresses to a fairly reserved bed of herbs, mint, cassis, and even a little graphite. Excellent.

Nose of new oak and black fruits. Elegant palate of raspberry and black fruits with with a full body. Medium tannins and finish.

Serious wine for the price. Big, lush, black fruit, earthy licorice. You can really appreciate the difference between French Mourvèdre and Spanish Monastrell. This is ripe, but earthy juiciness. Wonderful.
