Good but ready to go as it is oxidizing on the edges. But beautiful and delicate Nebbiolo flavors abound.

A cool night in July In NYC?! Quick: mix it up and drink a bigger red before it's warm again! Oh, this wine really takes me back to Piedmont. Strange how some wines have the power to do that and others don't. Lots of dense cherry / rooibus and background aromas of vinyl--this is an 08, for sure, and this is infanticide, but there is a heaven sent brightness from the acidity that makes it quite enjoyable already while furiously swirling to coax out the roses from behind the wall of tight cranberry fruit, vinyl and tar. Yum, I say.

Utility Nebbiolo,.....pale brick red, good amount of tannin structure, dried cherry, licorice, and wet earth. Very hot on the finish. Worse the second day. Went very well with steak au poivre.

This started out an 88, but by day 2 was absolutely singing. Day 4 was really impressive. I totally forgot I had it open, and it was still awesome.

A rare barbaresco. Really a true secret vintage. One of my all time favorites from Piedmont.

A noble Piedmontese tonight with Italian sausage and peppers and some chicken Parmesan.....opened nicely with initial heat that abated after an hour.....deep and dark but finished with a nice acidic balAnce and some smooth tannins after sone time.
