90 points on this......tasting still very good after 13 years though the vanilla tones are still there in the wine...Asian spice, tobacco, earthy resonance.....nice medium body for a nice mouthfeel on the finish — 11 years ago
Elegantly structured and consistent as is to be expected of a Carneros Pinot....Jeff Virnig did a great job crafting this one as it is super food friendly...the yields were slim in 2008 but this full cluster fermentation Jeff did pays off toning down the tannins. — 11 years ago
A noble Piedmontese tonight with Italian sausage and peppers and some chicken Parmesan.....opened nicely with initial heat that abated after an hour.....deep and dark but finished with a nice acidic balAnce and some smooth tannins after sone time. — 11 years ago
One if the nicer meritages I've had recently...this opens up beautifully and is almost black in color. Nose was still very fresh, licorice, chocolate and black cherry...paired with a Kalmata olive and red onion tart...it was off the hook for an inexpensive meritage! — 11 years ago
Delicious and bright after an hour if opening up.....good fruit and a nice frosty finish...... — 11 years ago

Yum....thought I might have let these three bottles go a little too long but beautiful integrated structure after an hour and a half of time....deep, dark, brooding on the early taste but amazing for a pure cab franc after two hours. — 11 years ago
Amazing for a Malbec....I am by no means a fan but this...but after tasting my bottles in 2008, 2009 this wine has truly developed nicely....the brash edges of earlier tastings are gone and still maintains good acidity.....3 down...2 more to go...let's see what 2014 brings next year. — 11 years ago
A classic Carneros Pinot bright and light after opening up with some strawberry and raspberry and undertones of red currants....finishes clean and focused inviting you to take in even more!!! — 11 years ago

Wonderful merlot with cherries and blueberries at the open and then some nice spice with a touch of oak. Less than 8% Cabernet and less than 1% on the petit Verdot and cab franc this is a winner with lamb and polenta! — 11 years ago
