2008 carneros pinot? Elegant and unquestionably carneros notes of forest floor, funky earth, mushrooms, beef broth,?cooked black pepper, faint hint of roses, rasberry. On the palate, deep and obviously aged but still very fresh fruit notes of ripe red plum, spicy black and pink pepper finish with good acidity and nice texture. Probably a bit past its prime but still quite good.

Elegantly structured and consistent as is to be expected of a Carneros Pinot....Jeff Virnig did a great job crafting this one as it is super food friendly...the yields were slim in 2008 but this full cluster fermentation Jeff did pays off toning down the tannins.
