The Original Syrah

Wayy better than Expected. My wife guessed it blind, even that it’s from Chile. Oh yeah btw, it’s Chilean, not California.

Good stuff. Spicy finish.

I'm pretty toasted but I pick up wet cardboard in this wine. Minerals. Smuckers grape.

Enjoyable bold red

Very easy to drink. Medium tannins, medium oak, and medium red fruit density.

I was pleased.

Smooth

A touch thin, but with a characteristic pepperiness. Blackberry jam all over. Maybe a little fat for my liking, but easily drinkable while sitting by the fire waiting for a cabin to warm up on a snowy afternoon.

Flat and bland, kind of sour aftertaste.

Smoking Loon is a nice brand. I have not had a bad bottle yet
