Mount Veeder Syrah

Great expression! 9ish years of bottle age and still a lot of life left in this bottle. The acid is what makes this wine a true age worthy bottle. Blackberry, blackberry bramble, earthy leather.

Nice balance. Well made. errs on the side of subtlety.

Gorgeous, true to form and place, lovely acid balance that offers a nice energy and backbone. Blackberry bramble, cocoa powder, coffee bean, smoked meat, blood sausage, wet slate. Plenty of juice and charm here.

Dark ruby with medium plus concentration. Lush cassis and raspberry on the palate! Mint, violet, baking spices, mocha. High influence of oak: smoke, vanilla, toast, spices. Moderate plus acidity, high tannin, moderate to moderate plus body.

Nice blue black fruit, bright and balanced.

Always a classic! 2008 a bit more juicy but classic pepper and blueberry.

Wonderful, delicate, low alcohol (13.4) Syrah from mountain grown fruit. You can practically drink a bottle if this with dinner and not feel heavy or blitzed in the least. I'm a fan.

Real nice. Dark fruits,. Sad though this is one of the wineries that burned down.
