i was wondering if I should open this.... So happy I did! 2013 Viognier from Skipstone. Alexander Valley fruit. 14.9% alc makes this a HUGE Viognier. It's balanced, with wonderful acidity, and a creamy richness. Meyer Lemon cream pie, if that's a thing.

Happy Vday indeed. Had this at Auberge Du Soleil in Napa for a fabulous lunch. Fruit yes but enough acidity to cut through amazing tomato risotto and fennel nitrate. Not too much peach and apricot but juuuust enough to keep it from astringency. Such a fabulous lunch wine!
