Upon opening it was a little stinky, we gave it an hour decant and it was delicious.
Standard Cab Sauv notes of dark chocolate and coffee tones.

Yesterday was bottling day for our 2013 Napa Cabernet Sauvignon, so this bottle is hot off the press! It will be fun to start popping these corks in a couple of months and watch this deliciously balanced wine slowly unlock all of its juicy secrets. We can't wait to share it with you next year - cheers!

Very tight, big dark fruit. I will be picking up a couple of bottles to sit down for a few years.

Paul Hobbs and the Dunphy family.. a work of art. Nice change of pace from fruit bombs in the napa valley, fine tannins go along with dark raspberry and cocoa undertones.. A touch of mint on the finish, which lingers seemingly forever.. At least 3-4 minutes. Very well constructed.

Tight and young with lots of potential. A great treat with generous oak and a solid fruit core.

This 2010 vintage is aging spectacularly. It's almost magical how you can close your eyes and you'd think you were drinking a French wine from the complex earthy notes - only with slightly more fruit than a French wine. Truly spectacular and well-balanced.

There's some great earthiness showing in this 2010 right now - I love that this Cab isn't the traditional CA oak and fruit bomb. The subtle layers of complexity unfurl throughout the evening. Black cherry, black currant, earth, fine, silty tannins - great balance and just plain delicious.

Still very young, but this is going to be a big cab. Intense dark red fruits, great balance. I genuinely think these wines are consistently some of the best value for their quality.

Tasted the 2016.
The first Paul Hobs wine I tried. This guy is going places...
The color is borderline Shiraz with a visible hint of purple.
Great nose, great finish.
Overall great wine.

1/23 wow this is a really well-made wine. Plenty of complex jammy, fruit but a strong, backbone and structure. High marks 89 or 90.
