Naturally showing its age in both color and aromatics this is still very enjoyable on the palate. Actually opened up and improved a bit after 2+ hours of air.
Probably not for everyone as it requires a certain palate to really enjoy old (aged/oxidized) whites but I am a fan.

Oily, very slight rs, developing nicely. Classic Alsace weight and texture.

Last bottle 😞
What a Fantastic wine this is. A real bargain, too.
Rich and dry, piles of beautiful minerals, gorgeous oily bittersweet fruitnotes of orangepeel, lemoncurd and peachskin. Pinches of gasoline, paraffine and honeycomb join the party as well.
Standing tall at the age of 14.

Bought this wine one and a half year ago and was very impressed.
And today, again, it’s in perfect shape.. mature but not evolving very fast... rich, mineral and dry. Great stuff.

Looks like liquid gold in the glass. Plates your tongue in a similar fashion. Beautifully sweet and floral nose--honeysuckle, lemon, freesia--limestone and a hint of coconut oil on the palate--which has a nice viscosity--and a fantastic dry finish.

Mineral galore! Crushed rocks, wet river pebbles, mossy granite, wet wool, fresh straw, touch of gasoline. But also spun sugar, lemon oil, peach kernel, incense, old foudres. Crystalline, complex and carressing, this is a helluva dry (!) Riesling from the same Grand Cru site as the famous Clos St. Hune. This is a real eye-opener for me, maybe a tad too advanced for its age, but at 18€ an absolute recommendation to buy. And drink. Right now.
