Vintage 2018 / seven experienced tasters did not recognise this Chardonnay as coming from the Netherlands. An amazing effort from the vintners in Oosterhout. Too much oak in my opinion, but also a good spine and concentration. Bravo!

Jan 18th, 2020Impressive! Clearly a cool climate chardonnay, with a sharp and salty edge, some glue in the nose, fresh yellow fruit (pear and lychee), hazelnut and a dash of creamy oak.

Apr 28th, 2022As the name states it brings wood. For me so much wood that I completely miss the Chardonnay. Will try again on day 3 perhaps the air does something to the wine. Day 3: the overdose wood in the nose remains. However in the mouth it seems more balanced. Fresh however “cold” wine. Score a bit up to 8.2+8.4= 8.3
