Glad we waited until 2018 to open this 2010. Probably should have waited another 5 yrs or so. Sweet elagic tannins a bit overly pronounced, but just starting to integrate. For the coldest vintage we’ve had in the NW in decades, this shows ripe yet restrained character, chalky cocoa tannins, brambley black raspberry, cassis, blackstrap molasses, pipe tobacco, hint of anise. I can only imagine the hangtime for 14.8% abv in 2010, but it didn’t stick out and added to the structure. One of the best Sineann wines I’ve tasted.
