Rich layered raspberry, explosive out of the glass. A little disjointed after an hour but rounded out nicely. Style has not changed one iota.

Already a complete nose, tight and stuffed to the brim. Double decanted 5 hours. Definitely needs a couple of years but fireworks in the glass already this evening

Yes, I know it’s infaticide to drink one of Manfred’s grenaches this young, but I was fortunate enough to snag 6 bottles and have never tried one so early out of the gate (save for a barrel tasting about a decade ago). Remarkably approachable, but this one is going to sing in another 5 or so years (might not be able to wait that long before opening #2, though…
