Seriously impressive. Well integrated tannin despite its age, incredible mid palate, and endless evolution of complexity as it opened up. Still a baby and expect this could push closer to 100 as the years move on. 97-98

A dark inky purple magenta - wow what a color! Nose is somewhat subdued - ripe brambly fruits of black/blueberries and perfume with secondary notes of bacon, earth and oak and a touch of menthol. OMG, Yummy! Juicy and creamy coating the mouth with flavors of blue fruits, cedar, chocolate espresso, pepper spices and earthy soil. A long dry finish that goes on and on withy dusty notes of chocolate spice. A must try and will very much enjoy this Christmas evening with our prime rib roast dinner.

2 hour decant(decent fine/cloudy sediment). An exquisite inky dark purplish garnet color. On the nose: ripe blackberry/blueberry, brambly, bacon fat, pepper, wet oak, touch of menthol. Taste: Big, silky, chewy wine with blackberry pie, glycerin, wet soil, chocolate espresso, spice, leading to a long dry finish. YUM! Drinking well with the decant and more time to go. Pairing it with a bone in prime roast Beast. Merry Christmas and happy holidays to all!

I could go on and on but I'll sum it up this way. About as perfect and balanced as grape juice can be. Hints, touches and arousalnof feelings of why you fell in love with wine to begin with. It's a top of Everest pleasure. If yiu have it, share with friends. Its an experience.
