Tenuta La Calcinaie Vernaccia di San Gimignano

A lot of melon in this

citrus, fresh pear and minerals. Lovely.

Light silver/gold color. Aromas of white peach, citrus and yellow flowers. Flavors of yellow apples and melons, unripe peach and lemon zest. Slight mineral note on the medium finish. Very light bodied and a bit bland. Watery (but smooth) texture and low acidity. Wine is fine and refreshing, but it left me wanting more.

Nice and bright. Enjoyed on a crisp autumn afternoon.

As per previous note, even better on the second day. Citrus/acid accord, great mouthfeel, orange zest on the finish.

Lush with great salinity/acid/citrus and texture. Light aroma. I love wines like this.

Light crisp super balanced. A tiny tiny bit fizzy tasting but you barely notice. Lemony/melony. Not too sweet at all

I have loved Vernaccia di San Gimignano since new year’s here in Firenze in 2000. So little of its variety makes it to the US, of course I just buy whatever I see.

Super light and crisp with pleasant notes of minerals and ripe summer melons. Hints of lemon zest.
