Was a great surprise that this bottle was so in the zone. Some matchstick upon opening, but evolved to show vanilla, orange zest, tropical fruit and ample spice and acid. One of best bottles of Bize have consumed.

Unfortunately underwhelmed due to the amount of upfront oxidation. A tired dog at such a young age.
In place of the by-itself-intellectual-sipper I was hoping this wine to be, it got repurposed and salvaged as a simple quaffer to match some quick tuna salad 🥗

This 8 yr old has arrived. It has the light elegant touch of Savigny les Beaune but with plenty of structure and depth. The fruit is still alluring but lots more going on including a long finish. For the money this is one of greatest values in Burgundy.
