Why we drink Nebbiolo. This is just entering a prime which I’d guess would see it still gaining in complexity for another 10 years...it’s regal and commanding, yet quite relaxed and very much the kind of Barolo that compels you to slow down and pay attention rather than trying to wow you with a flash and a bang that’ll disappear in an instant. One of the very few Barolos from the late 90s that has rolled over into a sweetness on the nose and palate. The savor comes in secondary aromas and tastes of porcini and game livers. Extraordinary.
