Much less aggressive than expected, feminine and flowery. Drank more like an Amarone with an extra punch of acidity.

This is Sheer Class, with fresh cut flowers, feminine essence, hard to resist aromatics...a hear throb of a Barolo! I am in love...if you are old school Nebbiolo fan, this is for you!

Fabulous, well priced Barolo with hints of tobacco, cigar shavings, and oak.

Enjoyable, as many entry-level '11s are. Lots of alcohol, but not overwrought or pruney. Drying tannins keep everything in balance. Aged in barrique, apparently, but I don't think that a significant portion is new. Certainly doesn't taste that way. Haven't had S. Grasso in a while, so I wasn't sure what to expect.

Big expectations, long decanting, great cheeses, good mood and lots of background reading about this La Morra Barolo. Nose was amazing, like a bouqet of roses mixed with earthy forests; taste however, was like drinking soap, not corked but some other serious fault I've never experienced before. Its what I would expect from pouring a cup of liquid soap into the bottle. Anyway, its going back to vendor tomorrow, and I will open a Napa Cab instead.

Great stuff. BTG barolo is tough to come by. Especially after the monster 2010.
